What is AUBE?

From research, we got the impression that people would love to shop ethically if they can, but just don’t know where to go. We hope that by curating a space of amazing transparent brands and a community, people will have easy access to everything they need to live a more conscious lifestyle.
We use Instagram, as our main stream, where I develop illustrations around products and sustainability topics to continue the conversation on what a sustainable lifestyle is and how brands can change to unburden people feeling that all the burden is one them and not the companies.

People

We commit to curating brands that pay employees at least the minimum living wage, provide safe and sanitary working environments 👯♀️. We commit to sourcing equal representation of brands , and actively support under-represented brands.

Planet

We strive to keep our carbon and water footprint as low as possible and work with the brands on our platform to ensure they are managing their waste in a way that benefits the planet. All of our packaging is from recycled materials and can be recycled 🌎. As well as continuing to discover and implement more efficient methods of sustainability.

Animals

We will always only work with vegan and cruelty free brands that stand against the exploitation of animals 🐇
And on top of this we promise to be transparent, working with our brands to create supply chain maps for each product, tracing each from its raw materials to us here at AUBE.

Africa Power Storage

Africa Power Storage
Role: Industrial and energy engineering Intern.

Working as a large part of a small engineering and industrial design department improving professional and digital communications skills with use of Trello, Slack and other software as well as in person. Thermal efficiency optimisation using thermal CFD (Ansys Fluent) & a developed real world testing rig. CAD modelling using Solidworks for FEA and product renders for website, trade show and optimisation of inverter casing. Graphic design for product & sales exhibitions, using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign

APS

APS designs and makes products for the millions of homes, businesses, classrooms, and clinics that are off grid or grid challenged. Our internet-connected AC Inverters and Lithium Batteries make deploying medium-scale solar easier and more affordable than ever before and empower customers with extraordinary insight into their power consumption. Our products replace or displace diesel generators and unreliable grids. We seek to enable a better future.
